Natural skincare, farm based skincare, chemical free skincare...what do those terms mean?? Actually, nothing....they are broad terms with generalized understanding but no clear definition...is a product with fragrance natural?...maybe, how about chemicals...are they bad for your skin? ...absolutely not...at least not all of them...h20 is a chemical after all, and we all use water on our skin. So..starting in 2018...I am going to shine a spotlight on some of the ingredients used in Gray-Zen Acres products from A to Z..(gonna have to think about the Q andZ). So here we go:
A is for Avocado Oil Latin name: Persea Gratissima
This oil is cold pressed (not chemically extracted). It has many skin loving properties such as low comedogenic (does not clog pores) light weight feel, excellent penetration, and good spread-ability. Avocado oil serves as an emollient (attracts moisture from the air to the skin) and an antioxidant (releases free radicals that contribute to skin aging). It is packed with skin loving fatty acids and vitamins A, D, and E.
Avocado oil is one of the main ingredients in the Gray-Zen Acres Body Candles.
Stay tuned...next week we will explore ingredients starting with a B!
