Farm Fresh Comfort Food For Your Skin

Alphabet of ingredients for 2018!!

Natural skincare, farm based skincare, chemical free skincare...what do those terms mean?? Actually, nothing....they are broad terms with generalized understanding but no clear a product with fragrance natural?...maybe, how about chemicals...are they bad for your skin? ...absolutely least not all of them...h20 is a chemical after all, and we all use water on our skin. So..starting in 2018...I am going to shine a spotlight on some of the ingredients used in Gray-Zen Acres products from A to Z..(gonna have to think about the Q andZ).  So here we go:

A is for Avocado Oil Latin name: Persea Gratissima

This oil is cold pressed (not chemically extracted).  It has many skin loving properties such as low comedogenic (does not clog pores) light weight feel, excellent penetration, and good spread-ability.  Avocado oil serves as an emollient (attracts moisture from the air to the skin) and an antioxidant (releases free radicals that contribute to skin aging).  It is packed with skin loving fatty acids and vitamins A, D, and E.

Avocado oil is one of the main ingredients in the Gray-Zen Acres Body Candles.

Stay week we will explore ingredients starting with a B!

New Beginnings...Open House

Big new beginnings at Gray-Zen Acres! The studio is moving to a new location about 6 miles from the farm. Although I will miss looking out the windows at my beautiful livestock, this move will provide much needed space for manufacturing and now teaching! The studio will offer classes in making soap, skin care products, candles and more. I am inviting other local artists to teach their crafts at the studio as well. To celebrate this new beginning, I am inviting everyone interested to join me in a fun get-to-know-ya open house on Saturday, 7/19/17 from 10 am to 4 pm. Refreshments, make your own goodie table, class schedules and more. I am more than grateful that I get to do the things I love, folks are interested in my passion and I have some of the best friends and supporters on the planet! C'mon up to the country, have a glass of tea, sit a spell and make some friends! If you can't make it just check back...I promise to take photos and update!
